French collegues from FDRSoft/Station Drivers have ripped the latest Audigy 2 drivers and prepared a small archive for downloading. In order to install them on your Audigy 1 sound card they encourage you to download the rather old .252 Compaq release and simply copy their rippack into the drivers folder of the Compaq release before launching the installer.
