Chip.de, a German website, have posted some details for ATI's upcoming graphics cards. After there visit to Intel Developer forum (IDF) in San Jose the first rumours seeped concerning ATI's Radeon 9800, 9600/Pro and the notebook variant M10 to the public. Here's a quick translation:
ATI plans a complete overhaul of its offer of wheel on chips for April 2003. Radeon 9700 pro, 9500 and 8500 and the mobile variant Radeon 9000 Mobility blocked in Notebooks are to be replaced with Radeon 9800, 9600/Pro, 9200 and Radeon 9700 Mobility.
For the mass-market there are the largest changes: Radeon 9600 and Radeon 9600 pro (both RV350) are manufactured in 0,13-Mikrometer-Technik, it resemble however in its architecture the Radeon-9500-Chip. The CONTROLLERS are compatible to DirectX 9 and have about 75 million Transistors.
