Not a terribly big surprise, AMD has stated that yet again the release of the R600 series will be delayed. Originally planned for November, it has been pushed back twice and now a third time.
It is interesting to note that AMD's reasoning for this doesn't seem to be due to technical issues, but rather a simple re-planning of the launch: Even this latest scenario will go by the wayside as AMD announced that "To better align our strategy with current market opportunities, we've changed the launch plan for R600.? Superb reasoning. Nvidia has had the G80 out for quite some time, which is letting them get an even larger lead over AMD. They'd better act soon. Techspot
