Xpsp1 & System Idle Process

after i installed the xpsp1 my system idle process is @ 99 most of the time.....does anyone know how to fix it????

Crikey RTFM!
The system idle process helps Windows measure CPU usage as well as (supposed to) set CPU flags to indicate idleness. It's not actually using the CPU, it's more like how much of the CPU is NOT being used. You can't get rid of it and it doesn't decrease performance. Ignore it.

Yep, take whatever number is after System Idle process as how much isnt being used. Windows uses it a lot in things like performance logging.
