Xp2000 info

is it worth getting one of these cpus and pairing it with the asus nf2 mobo ?

my 1.4 athlon and mobo died so im looking for a cheapish rebuild.

using a duron 750 atm... Sad

How high can these chips clock mhz and fsb ? or is it worth going for the 2400xp. what about normal load temps what r they like if paired with an alpha pal 8045 ?

im looking at good overclockabilty maybe try hitting about 1800mhz with it if thats poss

any info greatly appreciated
thanx

My XP2000 is locked, but have acheived 1817Mhz with FSB 145 runs perfectly stable. Temp rise of about 4 deg idle - 7deg under load.

I have just got an XP2500 on order and i'll be seeing what that can do when it arrives? Difference XP2500 £132 XP2000 £59..!

Hey i wouldn't buy a 2000+ since it's factory locked and the
overclockability is not too great.
Hey glow worm tell me what you think of the 2500+ since i was
thinking about buying one too.

I would definitely buy the asus nf2 mobo if i were you. I have it
and it's great, overclocking and stability.

Ok laatss

2000+ unlocked

167 x 11.0 = 1837Mhz stable

Above this Frequency, windows stop loading with an error. I didn't try to overvolt, maybe it will work, but for me @ the moment it's ok

AT last my XP2500 has arrived:

Abit KD7 with CY BIOS recgonized the cpu correctly and booted up with no problem. The CPU bridges are supplied unlocked so looks like i'll be having some fun tweaking this baby.

Initial results:

Gained 1165 points in 3D Mark 2001SE at stock settings over my XP2000 @ stock.

In Si Sandra memory bandwidth test XP 2500 (XP2000)
RAM Int 2387 MB/s (RAM Int 1889 MB/s)
RAM Float 2267 MB/s (RAM Float 1778 MB/s)

Will be OC over the weekend and will post results.. looks good so far.
