Disable acpi - this will force the use of conventional IRQs without increasing the number. I would look in bios and also reinstall the os for "standard pc". I have a KR7A non-raid and an audigy oem and it works fine for me with a rad 8500. Unless you have looked around and try to solve your problem first with drivers then I say only dumb people return the cards first thing.

This is better than a forum because it has compiled all the information in to one easy to find spot.

Since not long after the days of sound blaster 16, Creative sound cards are the best way to fuck your system over. They are Garbage like betamax, winXP, norton antivirus, intel and the red team on soldier of fortune 2. Garbage made out to be the best product BAH! Radio stations used to use AWE32 - snap crackle pop! And just like intel they cost twice as much as superior competitor. Dont get fooled by price!
PRICE <> QUALITY
DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE!
