I was using the one w/ XP until I failed evry test possible. I use Tiny Persoanl Firewall. It caught alot more attempts and programs then any of the others. Plus it allows alot more personalization then the others also.

@TriggerOne

No, no problems with ZoneAlarm (Pro). On my system ZoneAlarm runs fine. But make sure, that you use the latest Version. Version 2.6.357 and higher has support for WinXP.

I will probably get Flamed to Sh*t for this but I really like Norton Internet Security, it has built in ad/popup blocking and is very very configurable, it seems to block pritty much everything with the tests I have tried and couple that with the fact you get Norton Anti-virus and very regular updates and the 30 odd quid cost really isn't very much.

I have used Zonealarm 2.6 and it really does not come close and does not support upnp for things like MSN Messenger VIP which I use a lot.

Regards

How about Sygate Personal /Pro/...I've been using this for several months and I didn't have a single crash!!!
The same cannot be said for Zone Alarm...

I heard nothing bad over it. For some of my buddies it is the best on earth :wink:

But in my opinion it is only for "professionals" who know what they are doing. The configuration requires a lot of know how, especially in internet protocols, isn't it?

ZoneAlarm is easy to configure.
