Video Card Removal / Reinstall

Hey Guys/Gals

I need help removing and reinstalling my video card. I have been having alot of problems with Driver_IRQL_Erros, involving the file NV4_mini.sys. Usally get that error when either playing video games for a while or when I pause or stop and then return to play. I have tried every driver release since the version that came with computer / Area51 from Alienware.

The funny thing is I dont remember getting these errors when I first got the computer, about 8 months ago. Then again I didn';t have alot of sims installed then.

If anyone can go over the procedures for removing and reinstalling the video card, which is AGP, I would appreciate it.

My basic setup is:

P4 / 2gig
1.25 Rambus
G-Force 3

Any other recommendations or last minute fixes would be appreciated as well.

Thanks

JC

go into display click adapter, click cange....change it to standard vga, do not rstart yet. go to add remove programs, remove display adapter drivers...shut down, do not restart. after shutdown remove card, boot up. shutdown again...put in graphics card, boot up...windows will probably want to install a driver for it, specify the location of drivers or click no if u have a driver disc not loaded yet load your card drivers...restart. good luck

one thing you should do is removing your graphic card (physically) as well as the RAM.

and reput them in the motherboard slots
one of my friend had a problem with blue screen and it was because his graphic card wasn't FULLY in the agp slot.

you should check that.

hope it'll help.
