An Offical post by Via Tech on the Via forums said the 2 new driver files are just to add support for a new (unannounced at this time) chipset. They said there wasnt any other changes but to add support for this new chipset.

via driver

I just installed the complete 4.38 4in1's this morning and have spent half the day on my PC with a little surfing break an hour ago (hey, its 4ft Smile ).

p3 1g / gf2gts32 - 29.40 det. / WinXPpro

No crashes while playing 3+ hrs in Quake 3/Urban Terror
No crashes in CC-Renegade
No crashes in MaxPayne

So until, I find something wrong, I'll be sticking with these.

btw - 4.37 via's constantly gave me the infinite loop problem. Had to go back to XP's native drivers and only used Via's IDE driver.
