I have XP home edition, there are 4 users each with there own desktops.
When I log on and connect to internet no probs. I have a 2hr connection, when im bumped the re-dial works and reconnects ok. The problem I have is if 1 of the other users logs on (same PC) and logs me off the connection closes, if they switch user then the connections is ok until bumped, re-dial opens, but when u click on redial button it returns a message "device is in use or not configured correctly?? I have selected allow all users to use this connection, all users have admin privilages.
To make matters worse, I have just installed Zonealarm pro, and if it is active when the user switch occurs it shuts the connection down at once??
I have a Creatvie 56k modem on a systemax AMD machine.
Any help would be appreciated

Log in the XP as Administrator and find out if the connection is really available for all the other users, disable or delete unused acounts, make sure that in each account the device drivers are properly installed.

Avoid to connect to the internet while using the Administrator acount, just to be safe.
