Trust in Website reviews ?

Hello,

Today I walked into a scary think. I have read a review about a mousepad made out of glass on another website, the website gave the pad 10 out of 10 point.

I know the mousepad myself and I know that the pad is crap, especially for optical mices. For mices with balls the pad is quite ok but it does not worked fine with optical ones.

So I have written a comment about the mousepad, that the pad is crap in my opinion. Today I checked for replies and the staff have deleted my comment.

For me it looks like a sponsored review ! It s sas that you can not trust the website you prefer to read. But now I am off, I leave them ! I was a real fan but this was not ok and it proofs for me that the review was not real !

You mean the icemat? I don't think it would work with my MS intellimouse, but it worked fine when I tested with a Logitech MX500, so just by the compability it should get a lower score.

Yes, I mean that. But I don´t found a word about this in the review and the pad scored 9,5 - 10 with editors choice...... LOL

I have tested it with M$ mices and I had no luck. It does not worked fine.

Btw, I found W2S review about the icemat. This review shares my thoughts.

i use ratpad GS 8)

yeah, you dont have to trust entirely on a review by a site, you should either look at more than one and also gamer/consumers review also friend or someone you know having one is the best source of review

Why should you want to use a pad anyways if you run an optical mouse like the MX700`?

Don't need it.

Just take vga's e.g.

Those reviews we've seen are not very obejctive after the recent driver discoveries. But we've all been whacked by the manufacturers.

It's a shame that it's been this way. IMO all this is just a huge PR stunt from companies to make each other look bad.
