anyone know of a good app to make the taskbar transparent? i have power menu 1.5 but i cant get the command lines to run and i dont wanna have to pay for a prog to do it seeing it is a feature of xp

looking to also set other windows and apps transparent

Transparency Software

Go with Stardock's WindowFX. With it (under W2K & XP) you can have it turn the taskbar different degrees of transparent. You can also set different programs to run transparent. It is shareware, but it works. You can get it as a standalone or as part of the Object Desktop suite. Check them out at http://www.stardock.com. It sounds like this is what you want. LOL

also does a very good job of trans windows bar...amongst speeding up windows with its optimizations & utilities

i did say didnt want to pay infact i refuse to pay for something that is a so called hidden feature in winxp surely some one has written a prog that can do this
