It is still a shame that Holland doesn't play in the World Cup 
and it is a shame that France don't goes to the next round..
hehe and i hope Germany doesn't win the World Cup 2002

BTW... i think the Brasil Team is a very sad team.. they lay down like dogs.. just like Rivaldo did.. kick the F*CK out of the team.. the whole team must be disqualified and let Holland in..

i'm definitely not satisfaied by the france team (i'm a french myself). wev' been ridiculous through the whole world cup and its 3 matches.
finally we did 2 looses and 1 draw... :evil:
the thing that i don't understand is that france team owns great players but the team isn't good. to my mind, i really believe that the new coach totally sux!
what do you think ?

In my opinion, the frensh team has looked to much on Zidane. The same than with portugal. In the first match they ignored FIGO and the players played very bad, in the other match, the worked with figo and they played fine. In my opionion in some teams it depends to much on one or two players. Same with brasil and ronaldo. If ronaldo get injured, i think the brasils never had a chance.

More technical teams depend on 1 or 2 players. That's why France sunk without Zidane and my beloved Portugal is having too many difficulties with Figo and Rui Costa (4 injuries in 6 months), both at 50%. This is going to be the cup of physical teams like the africans, usa, korea (hope not , and others. I think Brasil will also not go far, they can’t play when they are pressed. Italy is also a bit unstable. Spain is the exception here. I really think that the final will have England or Germany. Both teams combine strength and technique, so they are potential finalists.

i agree with madeinlisboa (podias ter arranjado um nick melhor), France depended too much on zidane, and they also didnt have mutch luck, the ball always hit the bar , but Portugal made fine game against Poland 4-0, because the coach made the changes that he needed to do. and lets not forget the yankees are training for about 6 months for the world cup, and they dont have players in some of the most dificult leagues of europe, Figo played for Real Madrid a few weeks ago in the champioships league. I have no dought that we are going far ..... but well meybe not to far

We only lost against the US cause our coach decided it was time to try a new squad formation, instead of using the one all of our players were used too. Since the PT team isnt in the best physical condition, we just stood there and watched the ball enter the goal 3 times
Now with Poland. its an entirely different matter, we HAD to win, so back to the normal squad formation lol.
Now im just hoping that we uyse the same tactic and that we get in better shape since those Koreans run like hell

Hehehe.... all the big teams are going home... Belgium only has to defeat Brasil and they're en route to the finals :wink:
Too bad Argentina, Portugal and France are out, those should be te fun teams to watch. I'm starting to like African soccer though, Senegal just knocked Sweden out. They play good ball.
But still.... Belgium Rules!!
