W2K Virtual Device Drivers

MS Article Q254914 Suggests:
HKEY-LACAL-MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlVirtualDeviceDriversVDD To delete 'VDD' which would come up in right pane. Right pane is completely blank, no Virtual Device Drivers are listed. Causes recurring '16 bit MS DOS Subsystem' error.
Question--How to reinstall VDD's??
