GEFORCE FX help

I am from portugal. . . i have an ASUS A7333 board with a MSI geforce 2 PRo. . . i would like to buy a Geforce FX but, some people tell me that geforce FX will not support AGP 4X but only AGP8X! :-? Is this true? :o.
