Hi,
I'm new to this forum and the computer building world. I was considering buying the XFX 8800gt alpha dog edition 8800gt 512mb DDR3. I was wondering if the DDR3 bit meant thats it's only compatible with DDR3 RAM. In other words could I have 2GB of DDR2 and that it will work with the Graph.Card.

Replying would be a great help.
:thankyou:

the DDRx mean which type of DDR technology is used ON the card!
You have no way to influence this nor do you require any special hardware components.
Just take notice of it and thats it.
