Why send it back to Lite-on when it works after all? It was lack of proper burn software that caused me to think the Lite-on did not work in the first place. As I said, I reinstalled it and found that it now works. I have the Sony installed and working & I have a spare burner in case the burner on my other system craps out on me. I figure I'm ahead of the game. I learned something with this mess and I'm prepared when my other burner unexpectedly quits on me. Later...
