Hi there,:)

Written in a tutorial style, this book gives a step-by-step development of the defining principles of OLAP analysis through the lens of the programming language at the heart of Oracle's OLAP option. This book will show you ways to leverage the value of your data warehouse through refining the information it contains to create cogent, actionable measures of business performance. The content is informative and practical, reflecting over 15 years of hands-on experience developing multidimensional analytic applications for over a dozen companies. Whether you are new to business intelligence or a seasoned practitioner, whether you are using Oracle OLAP now or another toolset, The Multi-dimensional Data ModelingToolkit will have something significant to offer you.

The content of the book is based on the Oracle 10g database, however, most of the programming statements shown will work with other editions of the database, such as Oracle 9i and 11g, and even earlier editions of the technology found in stand-alone products such as the Express database, Oracle Financial Analyzer, and Oracle Sales Analyzer. So if you are developing business intelligence systems in Oracle or porting from one of these platforms this book gives you helpful information you will use to get the job done.

The reader will gain a detailed knowledge of the Oracle OLAP DML programming language, they will see a plethora of analytical devices specific to the OLAP approach, they will learn the relationship between the tables in a relational data warehouse and the storage devices employed by OLAP cubes; the Oracle OLAP metadata will be examined.

Business intelligence developers who want in-depth understanding and expert skill levels with OLAP will find that the book takes them significantly beyond product documentation and a wizard-based exposure to the technology.

The book can be easily downloaded by visiting “THE MULTIDIMENSIONAL DATA MODELING TOOLKIT “

:thankyou:

I'm having problems with internet browsers on my laptop and it's driving me mad.

It doesn't matter whether I use Chrome, Firefox or IE (all of which I have installed) -- the browser regularly and randomly returns "page not found" errors when I'm using the internet. The only solution is to close all browsers and wait 5 minutes. Then you can try again (until the next time it randomly stops working).

It's not the internet connection itself, because other web-based services continue to work fine on my laptop (email, Skype, etc.). Also other devices on the same wireless network (my girlfriend's laptop, my PDA, my Wii) all browse web pages without problems.

I presume this is some kind of software problem, but for months I haven't been able to find a fix. Any suggestions?

For info I'm using a Sony Vaio FE21M with XP Media Edition installed, factory hardware except for 2GB RAM.

I hope you can help, this is driving me mad...

Can any suggest any decent freeware Internet Explorer forensic tools?

I am looking to extract history from IE , showing times sites were hit, statistics (if possible), and anything else without having to dig around for everything.

I recently stumbled upon some things in the IE file cache that indicated that my step son had been skipping school and was on the computer during the day when he should have been in class. I questioned him about it and after having hammered on him for about 30 minutes, he admitted that he had been skipping school. He still to this day has no clue how I figured out that he wasn't in school - he thinks that someone saw him and ratted him out!

A few days later, my wife and I both had to go to work earlier than normal - and earlier than the time that he leaves for school... When I got home, I checked the files again and sure enough, there were some files that showed having last been accessed up to around 11am - WAY after he was due to go to school!

Anyhow, I hammered on him pretty hard that evening and he kept on denying it. Not trusting him, my wife and I placed him on restriction.

After having called the dean of attendance, I found out that he actually was at school - boy did we feel stupid!

Turns out that he had been on a website that had auto-freshing ads that had left that site on screen when he left. I didn't see this because the power had gone out for over an hour.

ANYWAYS, now you know the story.. I'm hoping that any utils I can be pointed to would help eliminate any embarassment in the future!

Thanks in advance!

i should also add that i would like for it to be able to change voltages too

i recently running low of disc space. i'm thinking to convert my new cd album to mp4. but the problem is a lot of mp4 format out there, aac, m4a, mp4... some do video and some don't and so on. Which one should i use. Does anyone has any better format recommendation, why? and if i am to encode to mp4 what bitrate should i use? i heard 128kbit is already cd quality. My thinking now is to conver to 160kbit .mp4 format, but i do consider the tools available for mp4 such as mp3gain for mp3, tag editor and so on. how do you collect your music? Any suggestion and tip would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
