I have an audigy 2 an i would say its worth the upgrade the sound quality is supieor to any soundcard i've heard. you get 2 free games (Soldier Of Fortune 2 & Hitman 2) i would say go for it, you won't regret it

For music the Santa Cruz (Which is what a SonicFury is) is still somewhat better than the Audigy 2. If gaming/dvd is your thing though go for it.

For audio quality and Clarity I definately would stick with the sonic fury second to none.

I have a sonic fury by videologic (bought 2nd hand form ocuk forum member about 7 months ago) and it's the best card I have ever owned, I would have gotten the xplosion range from videologic but I am happy enough with the sonic fury to upgrade just yet!

Sonic fury is considered by owners and people whom have used them to be among the finest soundcards you can have!

Coupled with a good set of speakers/headphones it's sheer quality and UNLIKE the creative drivers athe sonic fury ones are 100% error free under xp cross platform Smile

Iv'e owned teh Creatives before and SPent 2 years griping their drivers and quality or lack thereof!

Obviously the people that i have said to be owners have owned other cards before and i tyhink it would be obvious they would say they are good as they own them, they would not own them if they didnt now would they.

Ive tried the creative cards from the awe 64 upwards and the best card ive ever owned is this sonic fury

if I had the choice between audigy (2) and santa cruz....
I would buy santa cruz
..I used creative for a long time. too long...
always the same story...something buggy..quality probs etc.
santa cruz seems to be the best (alternative)
hercules fortissimo II is really crap..

Ive owned audigy 1 and 2 and a sonic fury which i might add is better than the audigy by far. But the best sound ive heard from anything so far is the onboard soundstorm on the nforce 2 mb it really does kick ass once set up right in games dvd and music.
