Removing a floppy drive and use >>

do i have to use a floppy drive or can i use a 6 in 1 internal media drive and still be able to boot from it w/media card like flashcard. The drive is usb mount on motherboard...

dunno .... but why don't u simply try ?? choose as boot device "other" and boot ...
and if this does not work there is also the CD to boot but what is the reason to remove the FDD ?

My own experience (on an Epox 8K5A2+) is that I cannot boot from a USB flash card reader; in fact, I have to disconnect the USB reader when I boot, because even if it is not set as a boot device it makes my on board RAID hang...

But you can still get rid of your floppy; when will you ever need it with a card reader? Even though you may have trouble booting from flash cards, you can always write bootable CDs if you need to...

My old toshiba laptop didn't have a floppy drive installed as standard but it did have a smartmedia reader instead.

I've managed to boot up bios flash apps from it and it's even detected as a hard disc during windows XP setup.
