After undeniable success in the gaming market, it was only a matter of when, rather than if, that Razer would seek to branch out into other sectors. With a vast selection of gaming keyboards and mice already under their belt, Razer had already ventured into the audio arena with gaming headsets (the Razer Barracuda and Razer Piranha) and their own gaming soundcard (the AC-1), and thus the next expected progression was an audio speaker setup. The surprise arose when Razer chose to seek the expertise of audio industry stalwart standard THX to help with designing and building the audio system.
