Radeon 9000PRO vs 9100

I have read reviews and got some prices of both of these card. It seems that 9100 would out-perform a 9000pro, but the pro is much more expensive than the 9100. So doesn't it mean the pro is better than the 9100? So which one should i get.

I know it's kinda stupid to get the low end cards, but money is such an issue for me... Sad

The 9100 is definately faster, but mainly in multi-texturing games, it has two texture units, while the 9000 only has one. Besides the lack of the 2nd texture unit the 9000Pro and 9100 are almost exactly the same.

Just make sure you check the clock speeds of the 9100, some manufacturers are selling them as really low speed versions and not giving any indication unless you look up a review. (Ideally it should be 250/250 at least)

I'm not sure where you got prices, but here in Australia a 128mb 9100 is around AU$200 and the 128mb 9000Pro is exactly the same price.

http://www.computers-canada.com/display....o&prov=ALL

These are all in Canadian dollars if u don't already know...

i guess the prices are about the same...

When they list OEM...they mean they only sell the card...no software included rite?

Yep, if you don't want the silly box and random bundled game, definately go for the OEM version.
