Mozilla Problems

Using the latest Mozilla 0.9.9 I can't view the main page,
all I get is the right hand side bar and 4 banner ads with
"arp2search-Top" TARGET="_blank">"
stuck between them. It only stopped working a couple of weeks ago, it worked fine before that.

It seems to get stuck on the line I mentioned up there, broken HTML?
IE seems to ignore minor erros in html code, but mozilla/netscape follow everything to the dot and tend to show up what they're told instead. Smile

Please don't start flame war

Appearently the problem is in the script from bannerconnect.net.

I've no idea about which part of the script is broken though... I'm not a HTML guru..

Bad HTML!

The page contains some VERY bad errors in the table constructions.

E.g.:
<table width="468" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
... some correct tags in between ...
<noscript> <a> </td></tr></table>

--> <tr><td> is missing!
--> <script> and <a> aren't closed before table is closed!

This is just ONE example. The are much more errors in the page.
The whole page should be checked and rewritten in VALID HTML Code!

The fact that IE displays the page right is just luck and nothing else.
The problems also exist in Netscape 4.x, Opera and other Browsers!

Another Q

Every time I visit Warp2search.com I get some "Hackers portal" website as a popunder. Running Ad-ware with latest reference file does not yield any stop to it.

Asides that I have no error at all acessing warp2search, using Mozilla 0.9.9 - perhaps those that do have problems can try a nightly build?

Bad HTML

It might work in mozilla for some, but it still doesn't change the fact that it's real bad HTML

I can´t see the page

Hi. I have mozilla 0.9.8 in windows, mozilla 0.9.9 in SuSE and netscape 6.2.1, and I try to see the page in my friend´s house who have netscape 6.2.2, and the result are the same. At the top I see "Affiliates: WinOSCentral | NvMax...". I see the http://www.warp2search.net logo and 4 banners of http://www.crucial.com with 1 error: " arp2search-Top" TARGET="_blank"> ". I can see the left menu and at the buttom I see the VeriSign banner. I hope this can help you.

Ok, I placed the banner somewhere else, in my Netscape 6.2.2 it looks now good.
Looks like there is a problem in the iframe code from the adfirm. I have contacted them to fix this.
And btw, thanx for the site, where i can check the code ;-) Very helpful.

Btw, I noticed that somebody wrote about the popup ad that he block it.

I would like ask you: Please don´t block it. The popup itsself is harmless.
But with blocking our ads and banners you don´t give us a chance to keep the site running.
The only chance we have, are placing ads on this site to pay the bills and W2s has about 5 Terrabyte Traffic a month including the downloads.
Check you hosting service and ask them what 1GB Traffic costs.
Please please stop blocking the ads. Nobody wants to pay for websites including me and i don´t want to make a paysite out of warp2search.
What I want is W2s ever 4 free @ your service!
Please give us the chance to keep going on ok?
I know, lot of people hate the ads, popups, they tell me they sucks, costs traffic and all that.
And your are right!!
But there isn´t another way for websites including us to let the sites running without ads.

We are on it to change some things, including the traffichome popup will be removed in the near future.
But please be so fair to help us to keep the site running with all ads included and i SWEAR you, the traffichome popup is removed in the next 4 weeks.

Ok ?

Thank you very much.

For the first time in over a week or so I'm able to view the site. I've also had some problems with a few other sites as well so I thought it was a problem with my mozilla build 0.9.9-something.

Mozilla has build in pop-up bocker. And I'm not going to turn that off - sorry!

KICK-A$$ site !!! Glad to finally be able to view it again.

Nice work

Now the site is working in my mozilla, and it seems to load faster in IE too, nice to see that the site listened to the suggestions and comments, most sites don't.

Popups

About the popups I use NoAds works great, it doesn't block the popups it just closes them right after they pop. It can be found here :
http://www.southbaypc.com/free_utilities.asp

You can also add wildcards to the application for what popups it should close automatically.
