PowerColor 9500 Pro 128 driver problems

Recently downloaded ATi drivers 7.80, 7.81 & 7.83 and tried all versions
replacing originals. Some direct from PowerColor.
All had major graphics problems so had to revert to originals
Abit KT7A,(Award 4 in 1) Athlon 1.0 Ghz, 512RAM, XP Home SP1, DirectX 9, 80G H/D,Santa Cruz sound, Hauppauge WinTv.
Main problem is FS2002 crashes on all upgrades and all video activity is unstable. Any suggestions/help much appreciated.

Hi. Your motherboard seems to be the potential problem since it's not so new and powerfull. Most ATI Radeons perform normal/better on Intel platforms: 845 PE,GE,chipsets. I've had that Abit 2 years ago but not now. VIA chip and ATI don't match all the time. Why don't you try it on P4 and 845 PE DDR system and see the difference. All know that VIA sucks that was my primary reason to stay away from AMD systems.

Via might suck, but nvidia nforce 2 sure as hell doesn't.
So don't just stay away from AMD for little ol VIA Tongue

Anyhow, try contacting Powercolor and/or ATI and ask them
about it. It might just possibly be fixed with a new driver or such.
