i have just got an Aopen FX 5900xt and im benchmarking it and i only get 190 FPS in quake3. thats in 1024x768, 32bit, high quality etc

my pc spec is:
XP barton 3000+
768mb 333Mhz ddr
KuDoz 7X/600 motheboard
Aopen FX 5900xt

im using the newest drivers for everything and even tried old drivers. ive tried in windows ME and windows XP with no change.

this spec gets 254fps

AMD XP 2600+ Throughbred/2800+ Barton
Leadtek K7NcR18D Nforce 2
256mb 3200 Crucial DDR

ive tried other benchmarks with the same find of results!

what is going wrong??! help me please!! before i :knife: myself!

the 2nd PC is using which GPU ??
set you AGP aperatur size in BIOS to max possible

the 2nd pc is from a review of the leadteck 5900xt
agp is set to x8

things like AA and An-Fi are set off/det by app or u set it manual?
VSync off?

short:Check driver settings

AA and AF are set to off under display properties>settings>advanced>performance & quality app controled un-cheaked and set to off.

VSync is also set to off :hmm:

u disabled any tools like AV or something?
is in bios an option like ECC Error Check? if yes disable
(i know this option from older boards, dunno if it exists now)

the only thing i have running is MSN no AV software or anything like that. the only option for ECC is the L2 CPU ache

or is it only if playing games/benchmarks?

ECC for L2 always enable, take hands off it :-)

so u got the latest bios of Board?

nope nothing else wrong, i just goet poor fps rates in games/benchmarks :hmm:

i tried to update the bios to 1.3 but it said something like unknown bios file :S

i have the latest 4in1 and tried 5*.** drivers

i found a preview of this board here
and there i saw, that

maybe it´s "too slow" , but i´m not sure!

if possible, try another GFX first in ur 2nd PC and then on ur KuDoz 7X/600 and then compare

hummm i dunno :hmm: i might have to try this card in the pc downstairs and see what it does.
