Palestinian first person shooter Under Ash

What do you all think of these games that mimic life a little too much.

Playing games is one thing...

Acting out the game is were the trouble begins...

We played Cowboys and Indians, Cops and Robbers, and Army when we were younger. We KNEW these were just games.

LOVE is the only answer to the World Crisis, today.

This is sad, and shows the bias of the programmer. The Palestinans need to realize that only by giving peace can they get peace. Too many people like to say, "God told me to kill that guy." In this country that would be a setup for an insanity defense. Over there it gets your family 25,000.00 I have already written President Bush of the USA that we should counter this move by Sadam by giving 50,000.00 to the families in Israel that have had their loved ones murdered in cold blood by these insane fanatics. Not all Palestinans like what is going on, but they are afraid for their lives of being called "Sympathizers." That is a sure way to get killed over there right now.

I like what the other commenter wrote: Love is the answer. So true.

what do you expect from folks who are totally opressed ?

many under 25s in palestine suffer from psychological problems by Israeli policies of containment and occupation.

True

Games that mimic reality are okay as long as the people who play them do not act them out in reality.

As far as the conflict, I agree with the love thing, and feel that the reason for the psychological problems in the youth is do to 100% biased education that does not teach tolerance of different views and paths in life.

Dumbest idea ever

I don't think there's anything wrong with Palestinians defending their homes against Israeli bulldozers and the like.

That said, who are they trying to sell this game too? The Palestinians certainly aren't going to be buying it, they haven't got any money for books, let alone computers and games. And computer games tend not to be popular in most Arab countries, or so I've heard.

I just don't see who is going to buy this game.

as far as I know, Isrealis use bulldozers to destroy houses only after the Palestinians made the attacks first.

No to violence

I object to the hate in the game.
My concern is that the violence in the game will incite
persons with weak personalities to violence...not
necessarily in the Middle East.

Very sad, a new low in Palastinian propaganda.
The game makers claim that they condemn violence. They even characterize their hero as a "peaceful person". Right, every peaceful person goes out with an Uzi to kill other people. IMHO there's no difference between shooting at IDF soldiers or civilians. I'm an Israeli, and I live in Israel. Right now, I am a civilian. But in a couple of months, I'm joining the army like everyone else (Serving in the army is compulsory in Israel) - so what? Being a soldier makes me less of a person?
Give me a break...

I personally dont see what should be wrong with this game.
There are alot of others like that out there and looking how many movies are out there that have the same topic (soldiers and killing) and even glorify this i dont see why a computer game, may it be palestinian for a change do anything bad.
Saying that I dont think this game has much connection with the real happenings in the middle east nor do i think will it make things worse.
But both Israel and Palestinians need to move their asses, just not too easy for Palestinians when Israel keeps back 450 billion $ of palestinian taxes and their ppl are starving. And nope im not from there, im from germany and no arab either.

U are so wrong. Israelis dont just bulldoze houses of innocent people.
Houses are bulldozed when no one lives there anymore (dead).

And no they dont kill innocent people, believe me, they even showed arabs on tv, and it even showed how the soldiers are walking among people.
Even some arab people said that other arabs (terrorists) took over their homes.

People that show no threat arent killed...

Like the last action that killed 6-9 children was sad, but israeli children also died (even more than 17).

These Palestinians asy they want peace, but go blow up.. it looks like they want war themselves.
But their current way of fighting with us is really smart, they go blow up, then when we attack, the whole world forgets about the people that were killed here and says that we are murdering the palestinians.

Eye for an eye, life for a life..

No dead person should be forgotten, on both sides, but its a fact that aggression creates even more aggression on the other side.
And its sad to see someone saying "Eye for an eye, life for a life" in the 21st century, but yeah i agree we havent escaped middle age yet...

"The Palestinians should realsie that they have to give peace a chance"

Israelis took over 88% of Palestinian land in 1948/1949 in the next 20years they took over the remaining 22% and slowly have been giving it back to the Palestinians then retaking it and the only thing the Palestinians want is that 22% but they will never get it. On the talk of 25 000 being given to the family of each suicide bomber the US gives more than 45 billion to the Israelis in terms of military equipment this week 13+ innocent civilians were killed in Palestine by a F16 and Israeli PM said this was a good day, the truth is the Palestinians have realised that the Israelis are not going to give back any of the land.

So your trying to say that 1700+ Palestinians have died because they never gave peace a chance, they gave peace many chances , they tried peace in 1995 with Israeli PM, Arafat realised that this wasn't peace it was another way of colonising the Palestinians the 1995 peace deal was going to split up the west bank and gaza strip into 'zones' controlled by the palestinians near these zones would be illegal israeli settlements governed by israle and the palestinians would have no army, airforce or navy and their electricity, gas and water would come from israle (reminds you of apartheid in S Africa).

Imagine this you have a house its suddenly taken over by people you dont know, they take over all the rooms except two which are yours, they setr up blockades and check points to check you and at those check points they humiliate you (e.g. strip you naked) and abuse they beat up your family and will never let you livew in peace because under any peace deal they still want your land.

To me it seems like a country that wants and wants but does not realise one day everything will be taken away.

This is the view of the majority inEngland today, In US you have the Jewish lobby probably the most evil people in the world.

Isrealis did that, Palestinians do this. This a HUGE part of the problem. Each side points at the other side as the problem. When each side stops touching fingers and starts holding out there hands to each other, then situation will begin to resolve itself.

Oh please... Israelis never "took over" any Palestinian land, get real. All of the land that was ever "taken" by Israelis was bought fair and square by the Keren Kaiemete Leisrael since the '30's. So please, instead of just throwing claims in the air, get your facts straight, read a history book...
