Outlook Express: "Compact" doesn't work

It seems that Outlook Express doesn't find its own folder when it comes to using the "Compact" feature.

Look at the image.

Since I use a non-default folder this may be the reason why it isn't found. Does anyone know a solution for this? Is it a known bug?

His point is very valid.
I stopped using Outlook Express some time ago as it is not as secure nor as stable as Outlook. Microsoft tried to ditch Outlook Express a while back but werent able to due to demand
Not to say Outlook is perfect but it sure makes my online experience better.

I seriously advise using Outlook.

If you really want to sort your current problem out, why not copy your mail store to the folder OE thinks it is using, then compress it?
You can always copy it back where it was, it sure will save you a lot of time Smile

Well, thanks for trying to help. But I don't want to switch to another application. I know Outlook Express doesn't enjoy a good reputation but I will stick to it as I think it's secure enough after changing some settings (especially with SP2) and it really suffices for my e-mail stuff.
