(Thunderbird 1.0.6 x32 all languages) http://www.moox.ws/tech/mozilla/thunderbird.htm

Bench your browsers performace: http://www.24fun.com/downloadcenter/benchjs/

Dont use the development builds except for testing purposes only.
Most Plugins and extenstions wont work.
Always backup your settings and bookmarks before testing something!
Or test the apps with other windows user account, so your current profiles stay untouched!

I have had and still have the same problem as you

most of the extensions no longer work ... so there is something wrong about those builds

anyway I never really did see any improvements

In fact any flash plugin works on x64 builds.

The Moox releases are working perfect on my and my buddies system but require some user intervention before you can use them.
(Deleting old Firefox profiles!!! and installing flash/java manually)

Backup before delete!
