OpenGL settings go wierd 22.80+ drivers

When I install det. drivers newer than 22.80, my OpenGL setting go wierd. If I uncheck the 'Enable buffer region...' or 'Allow the dual planes...' and exit, when I go back in to display properties the values are checked. Then, if I enable anisotropic filtering, the Vertical Sync changes to 'Always on' when I exit and come back in. If I change the Vertical Sync to 'Always off', exit and come back in, the anisotropic filtering is disabled. Suggestions?

Win 98SE
Asus V7700 GeForce2 GTS
