If you want to save a few bucks, get a 9500 while you still can.

but isnt it based on the old RV? also.. doesnt the 5600 ULTRA Rev. 2 outperform it?

It is a derivative of the 9700, and some of them you can mod to become a 9700

I have heard about the driver "tweak" using the Omega drivers.. however.. like i said.. Doesnt the 5600 ULTRA rev. 2 still perform better than your bog standard 9500 Pro?

I don't know; after I bought the 9700, I kinda stopped paying attention to NVIDIA & ATI's game of leapfrog

lol... I can see why... half the time its hard to tell who's in the lead other than in the "High-End" card's... Even then there's some debate about at the moment!
