NVIDIA RefreshFix

I just installed the newest version of Nvidia Refresh Rate FIX MKII and now I can only set my rez's to 1152x864 - 1600xetc....

and when I try to load Battle Field 1942 it just goes 'dong' and then it closes, same thing with hitman 2,
and I only get an error for hitman 2 sayin "Direct3D: unable to create device. Try Changing Resolution and color depth"
well id try, IF I COULD!
any suggestions?

The BattleField 1942 game is easily fixed depending on what version of BF 1942 u have.. there is one single cfg or txt or something like that file u open it and it has force refesh rate = 1 change it to 0 or something of the nature.. I will post when I figure the file I had to edit.

Goto <Battle field directory>\Mods\bf1942\Settings\

open up VideoDefault.con in notepad
and add / change this line to 1 (depending if it's there already or not, this line:

renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1

This let's it work at any refresh rate without crashing (why the **** do EA make it crash on anything above 60 by default??)

Also the reason you can only change to 1152 and above is because you probably didnt set refresh rates for the ones below, if you leave any resolution at <Select!> it will delete support for that resolution until you run the program and choose a rate for it!

I have also found that using nvrefresh tool 2.1 works better with all games and doesent crash any of them rather than the other refresh tools out there

I set all resolutions in the refresh fix, but no matter what it was the same result, so I just reinstalled my video drivers

ReForce

Just forget about the nvrefreshtools, ReForce is much better. Works with any graphics card / driver / game and it's very easy to set up. I never used anything else.
