nVidia Drivers and GeForce 3...results

8)

I have an AMD Athlon 1900+, a GeForce 3 64MB DDR nFinite FX card,
GigaByte mobo, 512 MB DDR SDRAM, and run XP.

After trying the following nVidia Detonator drivers:
21.83...28.80...23.11....27.10...and finally the 23.12's, I got a score
of 7145 on 3D Mark SE, running at default settings..with v-sync
enabled. The 7145 score was reached with the 23.12's. These
seem to me to be a bit more stable, as well as quicker than the
23.11's.(My next highest score:7114)

Two reasons for this post:

1. If anyone has similar hardware, I hope this will help them/save
some time, instead of un-installing...installing 4 or 5 different sets
of drivers. And then wading through the muck of that test. (It's
interesting the first coupla' times...then gets old.)

2. Does anyone have similar hardware and found better drivers than the
23.12's? (Of course)

Hi,

I tested the latest drivers 28.32, 28.35 & 28.80!
And the 28.80 work the best for me!

I have the same prob. Anything above 23.12s for me and exiting a game takes forever. Just a black screen for like 20 seconds ,then the desktop finally pops up. And UT runs like caca, Hitching and stuttering big time. My best 3dmark scores came with the 23.12s also. Looks like we are stuck with these old drivers for now :x Shouldve got a radeon like i wanted too in the first place.

1.4 athlon 266

8) 1st of all turn off the v-sync, GF3 cards seem to like 23.11 or 23.12 best, I have a P3/1000 my 3dmark2001se score is 7385 with a GF4ti4600
I had a GF3ti200 the score was 5700+bought the new card & gained 2000+ points with the 28.32 drivers. Not bad for a P3........
