Nothing happens when i turn the computer on

I have a Epox EP-8k3a+ running the via vt8233a chipset, with an athlon xp, 512 pc2700 ram....

whenever i turn it on, power gets to the fans through the motherboard ok. but the computer doesnt want too go to the bios screen. I get the blank screen of death. I've pulled out the video card which is a nvidia vanta lt lol... and i turned it on, and nothing beepd, so i took out the cpu.... still no beep.... took out the ram.. well you get the point.... i've tried to reset the bios through the jumpers, but still didn't do anything when everything was plugged in....

if anyone has any advice other than to buy a new motherboard, gimme a yell, thnx

pull everything out
only CPU with cooler for sure Wink
try to boot PC
if CPU and mobo are working correctly you must hear PC beeping
if not either your mobo or CPU is dead
you might try the CPU in friends PC and check it ...

also check if the CPU does get warm when powered or if it stays cold ... this means the CPU is toasted

It sounds like either your Bios has fried or your cpu / modo are dead.

Only way to test this would be to get another cpu, or try yours in a mates mobo and see if it boots.

If its the bios your can probably get a new bios chip for the mainboard.

Another trick regarding the bios is to removed the chip or the cmos battery from the mobo overnight, this some times kicks in.

Also have a look in the mobo manual there may be a way to reset the bios to deaults just a key combination. This works on nforce2, but aint sure about via based mobos but its worth a look.
