I've never bought a full desktop system anyway.....everythings always been upgraded along the way.

me, too

FDS (full Desktop Systems) are almost often to expensive or some things are not so good ur useless for me
so i always upgraded
and that´s the best u can do if u know some facts of the Hardware

but noobs better buy FDS *smile*

FDS always contain BS hardware if not extreme expensive ... when you build up your system you knopw exactly its spec ... it work the way you like ...
you say what can be cheap or not ...
selfmade all the way .. but a computer to start with is in most cases a good choice ... then go upgrading ... I gut my P1 200 MMX and then started upgrading
if ya haven't go any experience in computers you may go and buy the wrong stuff
