After giving a shot to the Sony KV-32FQ70E I am returning it to the store and I am getting one of the top models from Panasonic here in Europe. These 2 sets cost the same here in my town, the big difference is that one is 36'' and the other one is 32''.

I would love the 36'' set, but the 32'' one (TX32PD30) is the one that has won the EISA award as best TV in Europe (actually it was the TX36DP30 but this is the little brother that has exactly the same features).

What I think is cool from the 32'' one that the 36'' one doesn't have:

- EISA award 2003/2004
- What Hi-Fi 5 Starts award.
- ARAS anti-reflex
- Dynamic Digital Motion (DDM
- Digital Comb Filter (3D)
- Acuity
- Vertical Position Shift
- One SCART Video input more in the back (4)

Only thing that the 36'' has and the 32'' doesn't:

- 4 INCHES MORE of TV screen madness

What should I do? Are these features on the 32'' model going to give me really better picture, or are they just selling tricks from Panasonic?

The TX36PL35 doesn't appear on the 2003/2004 Panasonic catalogue, I think it is a new model (it does appear in the webpage with a "new" icon).

The best thing to do is sit down and decied what you want to do with the set? if you already have a surroundsound system then why not go for the biggest screen you can get and look for sets that have good connectivety eg: S-video RCA compsite-video scart ect then grab your fav dvd's or video and go see the set working and why not check out Hitachi Toshiba or Phillips there all good brands.

If your in German why not pm NT he's a manager at a AV store he might get you some discount?

Thanks for the tip. I am in Norway. I have already been watching the 2 sets, plus some others (Phillips) and the quality of the Panasonic 32'' is really sweet, you really notice the difference when they are side to side, but I am sure that if you are home with the 36'' alone you will not be unsatisfied, the picture is not bad on it.

i wouldn't hesitate to go with the 36" panasonic... I think their models are better then competing sony, philips tv's today. All manufactors use marketing tricks they say nothing about the picture quality itself.

But I would save the money and go for a ~42" plasma instead they are getting better and cheaper. Plus a 36" TV is huuuuuuge. you won't wanna move it more then once

Even the 32'' one is huge, believe me m8, I have moved that damn Sony when returning them to the store and a m8 and me were almost without back after the moving operation
