Well i have just got it used it about 1hr now very nice they keyboard is feels really good and all the mulimedia buttons were changeable so media opens winamp.... mouse feels kina strange but thats just because of the new shape feels good tho... lag well if feels diffrent usning it in windows that could be due to the pads on the bottom are new or new senesor, i have not played a game yet as i have had work but i did a mouse rate check after reading your msg with

Mouse Rate Checker 1.1b
© 1998, 1999 Oliver Tscherwitschke

and it came back with the same results as my old wired intell mouse the one with the 4 bottons and stuff, which i never could have faulted... guess the real test will be to see how it feels in a game... on the only other thing is that the horizontal scroll part is not changebale to like back on or forward on webpages or somthing as the side scroll is not a big use to me as 1600x1200 most things fit in.

The main problem i had with the old one was just the updaterate of the sensor, everytime i moved it, i could actually see it lagging as it moved.

If you could try it in a game for me, i would be very grateful.

Just tried that little program you use to measure the rate, results shown below:

(I already own one of the older versions of the mouse)

Wireless Optical: 125, 40, 125, 44, 115, 65, 112, 30 - Average of 70ish

Intellimouse with cord: 125, 120, 123, 124, 125, 126 - Average of 120ish

Thats what causes the lag obviously, the fact it jumps from high to low.

Your saying that jump does not occur anymore?

I have been playing XIII, it seems to be not to bad... feels diffrent than my corded mouse but the update in the update checking program says they are the same ... may be its becuase the sliders are new or somthing... i dont feel it lags by much ill have to give it little more time to say that it lags but its pritty close... im going to play the whole game with it and it has not been a annoying... so far. But its not 200hz with 1800dpi or any thing. all i can say is it feels kina diffrent than my old mouse... not sure if its lag or it just feels diffrent...

YEAh i get about 120-24 on both my wired and unwired mice, but the feel of them is diffrent, think its beacuse the pads are fucked on my old mouse still good but does not glide on my desk the same...

You should not be getting lag from a new wireless mouse..

Have you fully charged the batteries?

Do you have the base station close but far enough away from: speakers, monitor, etc.

I have a Logitech mx700 mouse and get a constant 124hz in that program..

It might be because of the power saving features of the mouse, if you let it sit for just a little bit it might go into low power mode.

Have they fixed their drivers yet, or are their still cropped from everything that made 4.0 good?

my MX500 gives me 124
remember move the mouse VERY fast !!!!! else you won't get satisfying results ... my mouse can go down to 4 when I move it slowly ...
also check the mouse from time to time if there is some dust or small hairs in front of the detector this can cause some serious trouble ... just a strong blow and done
