There seems to be a big misunderstanding about the GF4-MX480. The MX480 is a converted MX440 for AGP 8x. The MX460 has faster core- and memclock speeds; 300/550 compared to 270/512 for the MX480... My MX460 is OCed to 330/660 on a 89Mhz 2x AGP bus, i440BX still rocks!!!

A word of advice, never buy an MX card, if you are looking for hardware accelerated video playback, get a radeon.

a MX is a MX

...the GF4 MX440 is only a wrong name for the card

GF4 Ti = GF3 ti + LMA II Wink + Accuview AA

there was no gf3 mx.... so, are they gonna totaly redesign their brand-spakin high-end cards? no.... get everything they could of the their last high-end cards (designs)

the GF4 MX = GF2 Ti + LMA II + Accuview AA so its basicly a GF 2.5 (LOL)

i bought my Creative GF4 MX440 for 133Euro when it came out... the GF4 ti-4600 cost ~500euro at the time...

you also should realize why GF4 MX cards get such low 3DMark Points.... it cant run 4 of its tests.... its beeing criticized for not having features only 2 or 3 games support (and its only 1 or 2 effects) ...namely: PROGRAMMABLE PIXEL AND VERTEX SHADERS

ok, so lets compare: GF4 Ti has higher clock-speeds, better ram (including BGA) 3,3ns> , the (new/old) GF3 core-design (+LMA2+ Accuview AA)

GF4MX : GF2 Ti (+LMA2+ Accuview AA), >4ns ram

in an equaly configured computer:
the Ti will get 10000 3dmarks, the MX 6500 but...
the Ti will get 220fps in say quake3 and the MX will do 180fps....
any and all games should run equaly well up to 1024x768x32 x2AA x2AF
but you only paid 20% of the money

and shut-up about accelerated video.... of course the gf4 mx has video acceleration (mpeg2 at least)... with modern computers you shouldnt have any problems playing videos... lol

its not fair to beat the GF4 MX for its name... its a very well-perfoming low-end card... just compare it to a GF 2 MX that cost the same around a year ago

all of this doesnt matter nowadays anymore though.... noone should buy a gf4 mx.... they'd be stupid, you can get Ti-4200's/Radeon9000/9500's for the same price

all im sayin is: dont bash the card... bash nvidia for naming it wrong
