BenHur Linux Cocktail Server auf der CeBIT und in Stern TV

Der Security-Server BenHur ist um eine einzigartige Funktion erweitert worden. In einer Special CeBIT Edition ist er jetzt in der Lage, Cocktails und Longdrinks zu mixen. Der BenHur Cocktail Appliance Server hatte exklusiv in der Stern TV Live-Sendung am 17.3. das Studio-Publikum mit Mixgetränken versorgt. Vom 18.3. bis zum 24.3 ist er dann auf der CeBIT am Pyramid-Stand (Halle 16, G05) im Einsatz.

BenHur ist für seinen großen Funktionsumfang bekannt. Firewall, Internet Access, Email-, Web- und Fileserver, Spam-, Viren- und URL-Filter sind nur einige seiner vielen Funktionen im IT-Alltag. Rechtzeitig zur CeBIT wird er um eine Funktion erweitert, die für IT-Server weltweit einmalig ist: BenHur mixt Cocktails.

Hierzu kooperierten die IT-Spezialisten von Pyramid mit fünf Freiburger Schülern, die vor einigen Monaten das Linux-Programm MixIt entwickelt hatten und damit seither in ihrem Partykeller die Mixmaschine Portable UNIversale Cocktail Assembler (Punica, s.a. Link unten) betreiben. Das Ergebnis der Zusammenarbeit ist der BenHur Cocktail Appliance Server, der die Erfahrung der Schüler mit dem Know-How der Server-Schmiede Pyramid verbindet.
