Used the A170 DDR T in a number of "office PCs" over the last few weeks. No probs with i845 DDR boards (Gigabyte 8IRXP & ASUS P4266). 3DMark2001SE scores were around 5500 @ 1024x768x32-bit (85Hz, V-Sync on) with ref 28.23 drivers. Systems were 1.8A P4s, 512MB DDR, running WinXP Pro & modded nvidia inf to set refresh to 85Hz for D3D. OCing to 300/440 gave 6100. Not bad for a cheap card. I didn't even get around to testing TV-out with nView, though...

grim

I;m runnning a leadtek winfasta170/geforce4mx440 on an asus a7a266-e
motherboard Ali MagiK1 chipset winXP home and it is really painful all agp options of this card are disabled using det 28.38 drivers agp texturing is disabled in directx performance overall in opengl and direct3d especially is poor.
Games and applications detect it as a geforce4mx440/PCI/3dnow and highlight it as running on the PCI bus despite agp 4x being enabled in bios and agp texture acceleration enabled. I can get no AGP accleration with this card and 3dmark scores are woefull.
I read somewhere that nvidia drivers default to running in PCI mode
when an ALI MAgik1 chipset is detected I can account for this first hand with respects agp texturing in direct x.
I installed an old hercules geforce2gtspro card using detonater 23.12
drivers and in directx properties agp texturing was enabled and games and utilites detected it as an agp card with agp memory and agp texturing
however i couldnt enable fast writes Sad.
However when I installed the geforce2gtspro using detonater XP 28.32 and 28.84
drivers I found that agp texture acceleration was disabled and games and utilites were again detecting it as a PCI card despite windows detecting it
as an AGP card?
SO it looks to me like theres some issue tween the ALI magik chipset and the latest nvidia drivers can anyone else comment on this??????????????
I did notice a bios upgrade for the A170 DDr on the leadtek website any ideas what it does?
I'm currently running the geforce2gtspro looking for a cheap geforce3 card any suggestions
