I am deeply impressed

yesterday evening when I was browsing the web and got to the second favorite news site after W2S I saw the news Mozilla 1.6a released ... basically this wouldn't interest me a bit since I tried out this browser some time ago .. and (for ME) it sucked but there were lots of comment so I just wanted to look ...
the discussion was not only about mozilla it was also about firebird and thunderbird, so I was really interested what these things are got to http://www.Mozilla.org and had a look ....
naaaaaa mozilla is just as ugly as it was when I tested it .... the most heavy reason not to choose mozilla - favorites - seem to still suck so whats that FB and TB .....
TB naaaaah I don't need that email thing but FB the browsing machine ... looks really nice so lets start .... download ....
download complete ... extract and start ....
first impression good .... clear user interface looks solid ... what first ?? right a test .... enter http://www.warp2search.com ...... argh .net i mean ... huh cool loads as fast as IE but how the site builds up looks damn cooler since there are many spaceholder and so on ....
OK now the most important criteria - favorites .....
so where is the F****** favorite button in menu bar ? argh that sucks .... but hey why can't others just do like IE so ... right click and modify ... COOL really cool that rocks OK button is there ....
yeah left side tab for bookmarks .... argh lets delete those stupid default links to all mozilla related stuff ... hey cool imported IE favs taht looks good .... OK first and most important thing can I the user Define the position of my links??? cool I can .... that was most reason why other browser simply suck as I want W2S as the biggest best and highest link not any damn name-sorted-thing
OK that worked very cool ... so lets get all those bookmarks out of that folder .... done
so basically a good thing for now nothing to say against now lets have a look at that favs in menu bar that looks quite cool ..... and hey IT IS damn cool now I don't need this fav button anymore since I have a very cool menu bar with all my fav links I can now access W2S with 2 clicks instead of three or it would even be possible to access it with one ...

there are many more features that are really cool ... so all you guys which still use IE or any other browser you should really check out FireBird

this does not happen very often that I am really impressed by a piece of software like TrueImage 6 or Eudora or Trillian!

PS: a little hint for noobs like me .... get the installer version of FB so that setups for Flash and java work correctly ...

Mozilla might be ugly but IE with its exploits is surely the worst browser.

huh exploits .... I know they are there ..... but I use IE now over years and I never had a seriouse problem with that thing ... I can't understand this point ... in 99% of all cases its the user who clicked "Yes I wanna get Virus/ Adware and so on" :knife:
And I am 100% sure all other browsers have those "things", too BUT hey why should any bad guy write a virus worm or whatsoever for a browser that 1,x% use when he can attack 95% of all users at once ?!

You're right, all browsers have exploits but IE is really full of them Smile IE is also a target because it's pretty much more vulnerable than the other browsers, since it's integrated with the OS. In my opinion a non integrated browser is much better. Let's hope Firebird gets better...

I only use IE when mozilla/firebird/opera won't display a page properly Smile

I have tried Opera some time ago ... it is nice but more then a few pages did not view properly and favorites sucked as hell and lots of unneded features bloating it all up ..... it was not bad like some IE modifications ... what is there ... fastBrowser and such BS ... but it was not as good as IE
and if 7 isn't completely different from 6 its still the same

hmmm OK thats a reason but I ask you .... if you are surfing websites which host such JPGs aint it ur fault ??? I mean if this would happen randomly OK but if you visit sites which wanna harm users you are maybe surfing the wrong ones ...

I've been using Opera for some time now. I use IE for windowsupdate only and in case opera crashes on me(it does sometimes)
I just downloaded Mozilla FB 0.7. Its not as fast as Opera. Opera's simply way too zippy ..too fast. I'm on a 56k connection btw. Tried loading w2s and a few other sites. Besides it lacks the "Images button", a feature thats been missing in navigator and mozilla variants since NN 4.7. Opera does have the feature and its very nice.

this particular worm spams itself in irc and if you click it with IE you're dead Tongue

and Opera doesnt have to be cluttered and bloated - look at my config: http://www.elcoyote.dk/Opera.jpg
