Hi. I just got a U.S. Robotics 56k Voice Win 1806 with no drivers or anything installed at all but just the modem. It works fine and its great but whenever I disconnect the telephone keeps on ringing like mad non-stop. I have to take out the cable connected from the back of my modem to the telephone line or I have to quickly connect to net.
Also whenever I start CS to play some, I get disconnected as well. I've been looking for Windows XP drivers everywhere but am unable to find any .
Please help!

Thats a Winmodem, and for gaming their not the greatest,
while i cant help you with your problem directly, i have some advice.

get rid of the usr winmodem, and try and find a USR 56k External (not a USB mind you) modem. they are much better for gaming i've found

I picked one up on ebay with only the power adapter and no serial cable, for under $20 (US).
