help a n00b

Hi,
I've just purchased a GF4 ti4400 here in india, after taking some advice from a friend.They cost a lot here [~$400 :O] now i know that its a fantastic card for viewport performance in 3DS MAX5. Can you please enlighten me as to how much faster, a GF4 is, compared to a GF2MX, during FINAL RENDERING [as an avi, or tifffs,] i hope & pray that i havent burnt my fingers with this purchase.
<drums fingers nervously>
please, please reply
thanks

Athlon XP 2K+, asus viakt266a based board, 1 gig ram, barracuda etc.
