Has SP2 broken nVDVD for anyone else?

Hey there guys, I can't seem to find the problem with my nVDVD. It won't start up let alone run. Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it like 10 times already. If anyone one has an idea to what is going on plz share.
It version 2.55 and I'm running Windows XP Pro with SP2 build 2142.

SP2 2142...

Seems that SP2 2142 is killing a lot of Multimedia type applications - I downloaded Game Cam and tried running it but every time you try to launch it you get a Debug message or error - it won't launch - it also kills Divx and I'm sure many other applications within this same area.

I've even had Dr Watson error popping up a lot when trying to run other apps that deal with certain media formats.

Oh and by the way I'm using SP 2142 also - seems to me that 2120 might have been the best SP2 beta released yet... Big Grin

They are going in reverse

i don't think this is just a bug i think it is m/s trying to enforce dmr policy.again if you like your divx/xvids dont install.don't need it anyway. just get yourself sygate free firewall and yahoo info bar to block popups and avast free antivirus and you don't need the rest off m/s.

come on guys cool down ...
this has nothing to do with stop illegal things ...
its B E T A and on beta problems can occur ... do you download FF nightly builds ? from time to time nothing is working there ... but do I expect it to be a new anti-porn mechanism by not displaying any webpage ... you are also able to display no porn ones ...
some on SP2 ...
just wait for final ... if you don't like beta problems

It seems to be "some" problems with sp2 and divx5 starting with builds from 2138.
Divx works fine with build 2126.
I uninstalled divx, installed build 2144 and efter that I installed xvid 1.0 and voila, divx is working.
You can also install ffdshow for divx playback, I tested "ffdshow-20040520.exe" and it worked without any issues.
