I am using ZA 3 beta. Of all the sites i m visiting; it sucessfully blocks Ads on the site. The AD window contains DNS error page.
But it does'nt looks good. Both for the Eyes and Mind. Already due to DOTCOM BUST; there is almost no revenue for web-Site Holders. Now with such software available wonder what WEBMASTERS are thinking. Boy it is CHILLY.

ZoneLabs helps that Websites must die! Without the ads we have no chance to finance our servers, the bandwith, the traffic.........
I think, users like the function and i think the most users don´t care about or finace problems but: If you block the ads, all free websites will die! The others will start to finance the servers with payment for accessing the sites and you don´t have any choices to get your informations and your drivers for free!! The adfirms will descrease the payment for the ads because they can´t reach as many people as before.

The other way: Make the site only accessable via registration but then you have more problems than now. The webmasters will spam your emails with ads and they´ll sell your emailadresses.It s the only way to get some money. Take a look at fileplanet. They do that.

I would like to ask you: Please deactivate this service when you want to enter the sites you like and when you leave them, make a click on one of the banners. That helps that many sites can go on and can provide you with the greatest news and drivers.

Greetings
Degger*

OK, its been more than a week of my ZA 3 usage. it rarely crashed. the learning curve is more than i anticipated.

The AD blocking function is tricky one to use. Even when kept off the ad windows would be blanked. and when the "Mobile Code" is kept on pop up would stop.

The "Mobile Code" is a great function.For example.when logging on wrarp2search site another site "traffic by traffic home" opens. this is a nasty site. it opens its own browser. takes a screenshot of ur "c:/my documents" folder and prompts to buy some hackerproof software.Turn on Mobile Code and it cannot do so.

That's it.

This popup is only a simple html script which shows your content. I have the code somewhere but I don´t know where. When I find it, I post it here and anybody can see how easy it is and that the popup is absoulte harmless

Allright, for any people who are thinking there are getting hacked via the popup window:
You re not getting hacked, it s a simple html script:

Here´s the script:
<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
<iframe src="file:///C:/" height=130 width=580 marginwidth=0
marginheight=0 scrolling=no frameborder=0 vspace=2</iframe>;
</body>
</html>

Copy and Past that code in a textfile, save as *.htm and open it via your browser :wink:

I'm more than happy to have advertisers throw up ads AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN A PAGE!
The main reason i use a spyblocker is for sites that use "Hidden Windows" such as nitrous fuel, which has now got itself completely banned from our network due to the data and bandwidth it uses, as well as teh security implications it leaks. That and any window that pops up with "about:blank" in the title or similiar "Non-closable windows" gets killed and unallowed to open.
X10 although annoying, is still actually allowed in my system.
And all because i know how much these sites rely on advertising for money cos i am one of these people - I avoid X10 ads like the plague, but sometimes the adserver i use has these in them, even though they promise not to.

I like the beta 3.0.077, don't mind ads, so I have turned ad killer off. Don't like pop-ups tho...
Anyway, I can't get my licence key to take, it says it's been accepted OK, but when I reboot it's back to the original beta licence, & that's gonna run out in 56 days.

Is this normal for a beta ZA?

youre talking about that this is harmless. it is of course. but on the ad it fools you that your computer is unsafe and makes you think you can be hacked just because of this. why should someone who doesnt know anything about computers be aware that its a simple html script? I dont like these kind of ads which try to fool potential customers. so I dont tolerate it too.

OK here it goes;

1:- As i went to download ZA 3.??.7.?? ; the question i had was whether these r leak files ; it was thrown out of window.

2:- i completly agree with anonymous(8.19), Degger for u the script is harmless 'cause u know; but how about some kid who does'nt know. forget about knowing or not! why should the contents about ur private property should be displayed on the net forcing u buy some hacker proof software(?)

3:- the site "traffic by home ..." which pops up on visiting this site used to straight away show the hard-disk contents on pop-up; now it has a link called security check; click it and there it goes again ;it uses the script (which degger has explained) and shows u ur hard-disk contains. it even claims that they (meaning the site) do not gain any control of the material that is shown; but to my utter astonishment ; i actually deleted a file from my harddisk on the site.

Degger take over.
