Got trillian, then how do u chat Via ICQ?

HEy i m using trillian for last cople of months. I was astounded by the interface, usability, and trouble-free mutiple IM logins(ya ya except AOL for some days).

I did'nt had a ICQ id, so never used it; until one of my friends suggested me to find him via ICQ. I created a ID, and tried to log ICQ through trillian . That was a sucess, then i added my friends ICQ no. in friends list. Then next day i saw him "online" and i sent him a pm. Trillian replied cleint im is not supported message failed. I m totally bummed about this . Is it my PC or this is bug-issue with Trillian like AOl?
