I think your problem is that you got a PNY card more than that its a GeForce4. Return it if you can and get a Gainward or Leadtek. Problem solved.

MaDnEsS:

I just installed a GeForce4 Ti4600 and it's a PNY Verto.

Guess what it rules, my MadOnion results where over 10,000 Drivers Nvidia's 27.70
I have no complaints with the card.

Good Luck

Oh by the way who is this guy that's piggy backing warp2search.. his url is "http://hacker_spider.de"

BillZad:

I've looked at the Riva tuner. I do not understand your Q. as to 27xx drivers refresh fix. I have never had a refresh rate problem. I've read about ppl having one though..
this might be what your talking about, follow link:

What I have found useful though is coolbits.reg entry that allows me to over clock the m&F of my GeForce4 card.

hey download and install ZA 3.0 pro if you can...it kills the annoying pop up on this site...lol...but becareful the last two hot fixes from M$ cause knode protection and memory dumping when running the ZA...atleast that waht i uninstalled to get it to stop.

In defense of PNY's GeForce 4 here are two benchmarks that show just how great these cards are in the hands of people that know how to set them up.

Apart from all the obvious performance tweaks...
AGP 4X enabled
Side Band Addressing enabled
another one in the BIOS that i cannot recall right now

The biggest performance hit the GF3 and 4's have is FSAA...
considering GF2's didnt have it at all, you may as well turn it off.. I don't notice a huge difference, in FSAA at 1024x768 anyway.

good luck! =-]

If you don't see a difference with fsaa turned on/off on a geforce 4 it doesn't work at all. and a performance hit from about 10000 3dmarks (3dmark 2001se) to 8000 (quin aa) isn't that bad especially compared to my geforce3 @ 7000 w/o aa.
