When you get a lock up with the card , do you have a constant beep coming out of your computer speakers?

Yes! I'm a different person.

My specs:

Athlon XP 1900+
ABIT KG7-RAID Mobo
256MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM (266Mhz)
80GB IBM HDD
Toshiba 16x DVD-ROM (48x CD)
Leadtek Winfast A250 Ultra TD (GeForce4 Ti 4600)
Philips 107X2 Monitor
Microsoft Internet KB + Intelli-mouse
Creative Audigy DE Soundcard
Creative Inspire 5.1 5300 Speakers
1.44MB FDD
Creative Int 56k
SmartNIC2 USB 1.0 Network Adapter (for my cable)

Did I miss anything? D3D sux a$$... When I run OpenGL programs, it locks up too.

About the beep,...

I run DroneZ and when I play, halfway through, beeps come out of no where. I had to go to the main menu, click on sound options or whatever, to restart the sound. (BTW DroneZ is OpenGL game) It will freeze after around 10-30 minutes.

When I run Max Payne (D3D game), it's worse. The system would lock up after around 30 sec. of game play. Then corrupted sound would come out.

When I play HL, the game used to freeze after 30 sec. or so, but for some magical reason, it stopped, and now it would freeze after 10-30 minutes.

DivX codecs worked fine.

I've tried a few Via 4in1 Drivers, now the current one is 4.38(2)v(a). For NVIDIA Detonators, I had the Detonator XP 27.50 which comes with my Leadtek CD-ROM. Then I downloaded 28.32 from the NVIDIA website. Then I tried some unofficial ones. Right now, I'm reverting to the 28.32.
