Hello!

I sometimes get this small glitch. It's not related to system running
time or application. It seems that after coming back to desktop
after a full screen aplication/game the start button is forgotten
by the system and is left with some kind of corrupt color effect.
Yet it has with full functionality. I'm running under Win Me.
Otherwise the system is stable rock solid. In all the games I never
experience crashes or artifacts. I left the system in 3DMark 2001
with loop option activated several hours and no problem here.
I could just ignore it, but ... :roll:
My machine: 750 MHz Duron / 256 MB pc 133 / Inno3D Geforce 3 Ti 200
w/128 MB.
3DMark 2001 default benchmark, no o/c: ~4400

Try fiddle with desktop options, IE6/5 display related options, start menu options, click around in the TweakUI program, move the taskbar to other corners. Guess it could be a detonator issue, 16 vs 32 bit may be. Wouldnt surprise me if it turns out the mouse driver did it. Much potential for headache with such annoyances.

Did you ever use one of those startmenu changer programs? May be something got slightly corrupted and you need a fresh one. I think the start stuff is in explorer.exe so try get a new one from WinME disc. I got a std. version of the OS, my explorer.exe is in Win_16.cab
