thats strange that you've had problems. I got my ti4600 in late march and haven't had a single problem with it. Rule #1 when getting new hardware. ALWAYS format if you want to keep problems down to a minimum.

GEFORCE 4 Ti 4600 HELL.....

I purchased a Geforce 4 ti 4600 last week and it came and I was excited.
So I removed the drivers from my old card, (geforce3 standard) and installed the Geforce 4. I didnt see a dramatic increase but it helps for the 2001se benchmark test right? Yah who cares..
Anywayz, I installed it, ran it for a few hours, When to run my favorite game MOHAA. and BOOM... A BSOD.. BSOD in XP. It said that the geforce 4 was the cause and I need to restart the computer. So I went to restart an my text was scrambled, A whole lot of verticle lines just nasty..
So I went thru and unistalled, reinstalled, etc etc.. Same issue.

Finally called PNY technologies after waiting thru 3 diffrent phone calls, I finally go to talk to someone.. Series of tests, Unplug this, check that, disable this, yada yada yada...

Same issue and he gave me an RMA.. So now I am waiting for another week or soo till I get a new one..

Anyone else have these issues?

AMD XP 1800
GA-7VRXP mobo
XP
512 mb ddr pc 2100
Geforce 3, Geforce 4 ti 4600
Audigy gamer
Seagate 80 gig hd

8) seems to me that anyone with a Epox, or a VIA chipset, has some issues with their video card GF4's,or a PNY video card, all low budget pro-
ducts, Do the right thing and buy a QUALITY product (Asus, Abit, Visiontek,
etc, etc.....and if you have to overclock, why burnout your system ???
I read about a dude who has a P4/1.6a overclocked to 3000+ on a Abit
mother board and his 3dmark2001se score is 15,000+ whoaaaa!! He has
a Visiontek video card ti4600 also,if u buy cheap u get cheap results.....
Intel is the way to go,realiable and compatable with everything, VIA is a
speed demon but has little in terms of realiabilityor compatability!!! I have
tried both systems for years and the winner is INTEL !!!

yeah i bought a PNY Ti4600 in March and i had to take it back because I was having problems with my video. I don't know what the problem was exactly but i do know that I didn't like it at all. So I changed to a visiontek card and i had some problems out of it too. I didn't like the results that i was getting so i changed for another Visiontek today. I'm going to run some benchmarks and see what happens. I hope all goes well. As for the PNY cards, when i took mine back there were several other complaints from other people that bought the card saying the same thing about video problems. Sad Sorry...

Well I have a Visiontek Geforce 3 and I love it. As for the video card being a PNY. I went with PNY because it was a good deal and it has the nicer fan on it. Its not just PNY thats having issues even Visiontek, Creative also.
But I like Visiontek myself.. So if this PNY keeps messing up Ill buy a Visiontek. But They all use the same design specs..
Who knows right? Im just waiting for my new one to get back. As for the VIA thing? well I wanted the AMD chipset but my AMD 761 chipset burnt out on my 7XDR, thats why i got a new board.. Shit just breaks sometimes..
