GEFORCE 4 problems and possible solutions

Hey if your having an issue with your geforce 4 try the following.
*Reset your CMOS, easy to do.
*Load default bios settings, go in windows, install latest authorized drivers. Then do a reboot optimize your settings.
*Make sure your video card is compatiable with your mobo. Epox had an issue with that, Resolved it but still have problems.
*Dont mess with the beta drivers. Some are leaks intended to basicly trace out the employees who are leaking them. Hell most times its not really an advancement in drivers. There was a time early this year where Nvida "LEAKED" 5 sets of drivers in a matter of 6 months. Dont take risks that can fry your shit.
*Check for a bios update overall. In case there is an update for that board to use the card.
*Update agp drivers if you can. Amd released some not to long ago for some of their chipsets.

Basicly dont rush to the conclusion that the geforce 4 sucks. I have many of times been working on a machine and thought it was the video card and it ended up being something totally diffrent.
(Bad stick of memory latley)

whatever what ure saying are general things, ,I HAD TO reduce my AGP setting to 1x and reduce my ram timings to the lowest setting to get my damn gainward geforce 4 ti 4400 to work in my ATHLON XP 2000+, with a VIA chipset. Yet the same card worked flawlessly in a PIII 850 on a i815, and also on a Celron 300a on a BX and finaly on a P4 1.4 on a i850...... hmmmmm yet it works quite badly on this AThlon XP on a via kt266a made by epox seems to me GEFORCE4 hates VIA+athlons....

For real , I have a Tbird 1.4 with KG7-R board and I had to set the AGP to 2X with no fsb overclocking to get it stable. Why the heck does Via not like GF4's? weird.
